SPARK STUDIO PURPOSE
- to foster academic, physical and emotional independence through developmentally appropriate works inspired by Maria Montessori and Anji Play;
- to spark curiosity through hands on experiences and play-based challenges, and;
- to equip learners for the next steps of their journey by applying the Hero’s Journey philosophy.
EDUCATION
At Spark Studio, learning is more than academics—it’s an adventure in self-discovery, growth, and leadership. Through hands-on challenges, outdoor exploration, and a culture of agency and autonomy, our learners (ages 4-7) build the skills they need to own their education and shape their world.

BADGES
Every challenge conquered, every skill sharpened, every moment of perseverance—it all matters. Our badge system recognizes growth in Leadership, Communication, Safety, Writing, Reading, and Math, with clear milestones and exciting challenges along the way. Every badge earned is a testament to a learner’s courage, resilience, and drive.

MASTERY
At Spark Studio, learning isn’t rushed—it’s mastered. Without artificial timelines or pressure, learners build real competence and confidence at their own pace. Whether it’s unlocking a new reading level or solving a tricky math puzzle, they set their goals, embrace challenges, and rise stronger every day.

TOOLS
In a world filled with distractions, Spark Studio provides something different—a space for deep focus, hands-on discovery, and meaningful play. Our learners spend more time outdoors than on screens, using frameworks for self-awareness, self-management, and self-governance to navigate their learning and relationships. The ultimate goal? To become innovators and leaders in their community.

PARENT TESTIMONIALS
"Our daughter loves learning at Acton. She can’t wait to share her day the moment she jumps into the car. I’m so grateful to see a love for learning come back into her eyes."
"I would never have believed children could learn so much from each other – until I saw it with my own eyes. The lessons of self management and self governance have prepared our fifth grade son to be a lifelong learner.”
"Eagles play hard and work hard. Our daughter jumped seven grade levels in Math in two years, but there wasn’t any magic to it; just encouragement from her friends and lots of hard work.”
